On November 4, 1820, the Royal Theater of Liège was inaugurated by King William I of the Netherlands after having been financed by popular subscription. After its physical rebirth, following its recent renovation, we can speak of a true musical rebirth.
The 2023-2024 Season presents many new productions including Mozart’s Idomeneo which will open the season with the beautiful voice of Nino Machaidze in the role of Elettra and Giorgio Berrugi in the title role. Also, we recommend in November the co-production of The Tales of Hoffman by Offenbach with the exceptional trio Jessica Pratt, Celso Albelo and Erwin Schrott.
The rest of the season also presents beautiful pieces of the classic international opera repertoire such as Rusalka by Dvorak, I Capuleti e i Montecchi byVerdi and Carmen by Bizet.
